Whole Education is a partnership of like-minded schools, organisations and individuals that believe that all young people should have a fully rounded education, developing the knowledge, skills and qualities needed to help them thrive in life and work.

The Learning Away team is spending the next couple of days at Whole Education’s 5th Annual Conference: an education worth having. This is a buzzy event full of engaged and engaging school leaders, and, this year, speakers include John Hattie and Ron Berger.

Alongside our Paul Hamlyn Foundation sister projects we will have a stand, where you can get more information and sign up to be updated with the latest Learning Away news. On Wednesday, we will be taking part in the primary table session, and Caroline Vernon, Head teacher of Victoria Junior School – a key member of the Walney transition residential learning programme – will be joining a panel to discuss approaches to developing young people’s resilience and character (in and outside the classroom). Come and say ‘hello’!
